"Will You Be My Vibin'-Tine?": How To Plan The Perfect Valentine's Day Date

February 14, 2024

When it comes to planning the perfectly romantic Valentine’s Day date for your significant other, you may be thinking of a million things to do; go out to dinner, go to the movies, buy flowers, go to the spa. But there are only 24 hours in a day so you have to narrow your choices down a bit. The key to a quality date is incorporating the mind, body and soul; expanding the mind, moving your body, and elevating your soul with the ideas we have in this blog. So grab yourself an Evervibe drink, sit back and read on to learn how you can amaze your valentine this year.

STEP 1: Planning

Before you start buying anything or making any reservations, you should first have a mini brainstorming session. Determine your budget and amount of available time you have to dedicate (February 14th is on a Wednesday this year) to your date. Make a list of dates that you would be interested in and have your partner do the same. Think about various ideas that you may have said no to in the past because there may not have been enough time to do it, or ideas that can bring you and your partner out of your comfort zones a bit to explore new things you may not have thought about before. Take into consideration hobbies, interests, preferences, likes and dislikes to make sure that you personalize the date to you and your date. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to get to everything on your list in one day but you may be able to do a couple of things if you plan the date just right.

The key to a quality date is to incorporate the mind, body and soul. You can do this in a myriad of ways. You can do three separate activities or combine these elements all into one. Below we’ve come up with a few examples that you can add to your brainstorming list if you are having a hard time thinking of other dates than dinner and a movie:

MIND

  1. Play a board game or do a crossword puzzle/word search
  2. Escape Room Date
  3. Bookstore date

BODY

  1. Hiking Date
  2. Cook / Bake Together
  3. Take a Dance Class

SOUL

  1. Get Creative! (Art & Crafts, puff & paint nights, etc.)
  2. Screen-free Outing
  3. Spa Day / Couples massage

Now that you have your comprehensive list of all the amazing things you would like to do with your partner, it is the time to narrow down your options and decide on what exactly you two want to do together for Valentine’s Day. There are a few ways you can go about honing in on the perfect idea, you can; take turns one by one and cross off the things you don’t want to do, number the ideas then roll dice to eliminate, pick your top 3 favorites and if your partner has the same one on their list - that’s what your date is! No matter how you choose to decide on what to do with your valentine, be sure that it is something you both enjoy.

STEP 2: Preparation

Time to prepare for the date itself. If you need to make reservations or get tickets, get them as soon as possible and print or screenshot the confirmation message. This will help avoid any confusion or issues later on.

An optional, but highly recommended, step to this process to further prepare for the date, would be to get a small gift for you and your partner to enjoy. You can go out and grab flowers, a bag of Evervibe to make the strawberry love bombs we have at the end of this blog, and anything else that can elevate your date to the next level.

Lastly, prepare yourself. Take a shower, brush your teeth, do your hair, put your face on, etc. Do what you need to do to put your best foot forward for your date. If you’ve been together for a while, pretend like it’s your first date again. You want to impress your partner and show up as your best self! Make sure you give yourself time to collect yourself before leaving. You don’t want to be rushing to get ready then rushing to get the night started. You’ll be more likely to forget a step, leave something behind, or just plain stress yourself out - You (and your partner) do not deserve to be stressed out for your romantic date.

STEP 3: Date Time

You’ve brainstormed ideas and determined what you are going to do for your date, you’ve prepared for the date and are ready to go - It’s now game time. Time to woo your partner in ways they haven’t been woo’d before. After you two have gotten ready and together to go out, capture the moment with a picture because you two look fabulous. During the date itself, try to keep your attention on your date but sneak a few more pictures throughout the night. At the end of the date, you’ll be able to reminisce on the fun time you two had together.

At the end of the day, make your Valentine’s Day date however you like, after all - it’s another day to celebrate the love you have with yourself and your loved one. You two deserve happiness and time dedicated solely to enjoying yourselves and the relationship you’ve built and continue to build.

For an added treat at the end of an amazing date with your partner, pre-make these love bombs (chocolate covered strawberries w. Evervibe sprinkles)

Recipe: “Love Bombs”

Chocolate covered strawberries topped with Evervibe

→ Ingredients:

  • Package of strawberries
  • Bag of Evervibe (any flavor)
  • Chocolate (your choice - white, milk, dark, or try all three!)
